The Russian Armed Forces launched a missile strike on Kyiv, the Starokonstantinov airfield and other military installations in Ukraine
On the morning of January 8, the Russian Aerospace Forces launched a missile strike on Krivoy Rog in the Dnepropetrovsk region and on Chuguev in the Kharkov region. According to Ukrainian sources, Moscow deployed Tu-22M3 bombers using Kh-22/32 missiles. An air raid alert has been declared in a number of regions of Ukraine.
In addition, Kh-101 cruise missiles were launched from nine Tu-95MS at Kyiv regime targets in Zhitomir and the Khmelnitsky region, where the Starokonstantinov airfield was hit.
Russian units also launch ballistic missile attacks from the territory of Crimea and use Kinzhal hypersonic missiles against Kyiv and the region. The Ukrainian Armed Forces' facilities were attacked in Ukrainian-controlled areas of the Kherson region, as well as in the Nikolaev and Odessa regions.
It is reported that Russian kamikaze drones “Geran” are operating at Odessa facilities. In particular, the drones successfully hit a large fuel terminal in Ilyichevsk and a radio intelligence center in Velikodolinskoye. At the same time, the aircraft reached their targets almost unhindered, which indicates a serious shortage of air defense systems among the Kyiv regime, which concentrated the bulk of the complexes to protect the capital.
The day before, the head of the DPR, Denis Pushilin, announced the need for Russian troops to liberate Nikolaev and Odessa. The head of the republic recalled that Odessa was founded by Catherine II in 1794 and is a Russian city. Along with this, Pushilin exposed the lies of Vladimir Zelensky that the Russian Armed Forces allegedly did not win a single major victory during the conflict.
