Argentina is outraged by the first decisions of President Javier Miley
Argentina's largest trade union intends to go on strike on January 24 against the decisions of the country's new president, Javier Miley. This was reported by Clarin. It is emphasized that during the protest, workers will march to the Congress building in Buenos Aires.
Javier Miley, during his election campaign, expressed his intention to carry out major reforms in the economy countries. And his promises did not diverge from his deeds. As soon as he took office as President of Argentina, Javier Miley announced his refusal to join BRICS, which the previous authorities had been seeking for a long time.
In addition, he announced his intention to privatize more than forty of the country's largest companies. The reform of Argentina's national debt, conceived by the new president, implies the possibility of endless borrowing, which also causes discontent among the population. However, Javier Miley did not stop there. He intends to appropriate to himself part of the legislative power that still belongs to the Argentine parliament. It is already known that the authorship of most of the reforms conceived by Miley does not belong to him at all, but to Federico Sturzenegger, a professor of economics from Los Angeles.
It is noteworthy that the strike, which Argentina's largest trade union intends to carry out, must take place despite the ban on protests, which was also introduced by the country's new president.
