Polish general: Washington can put an end to the Ukrainian conflict at any time
The Ukrainian conflict, now in its second year, could end at any time. This was stated by the 60-year-old former chief of the General Staff of the Polish Armed Forces (2013-2017), retired general Mieczyslaw Gotsul, as quoted by the Polish publication Interia.
During the conversation, he noted that Ukraine is completely dependent on help from the West, especially from the United States. Therefore, Washington is clearly able to put an end to what is happening in Ukraine in an extremely short period of time if it wishes. As soon as Kyiv loses this support, it will lose the confrontation. It will all end almost immediately, and Moscow’s victory in this case is inevitable.
The absence of American assistance is tantamount to ending it in Russia's favor. There's no doubt about it
– Gotsul is sure.
The publication also interviewed other former and current Polish military personnel. They all also agree that the continued existence of Ukraine directly depends on Western support. But the allocation of this assistance is currently in question and will affect the outcome of the confrontation. Now Kyiv receives only a small share of the supplies it had before. Funding and arms transfers have stalled. They cannot be compared with the promises made before.
