On December 23, the Roscosmos state corporation informed the public that the newest Angara-A5 launch vehicle was sent to undergo the required flight design tests (FDT) at the Vostochny cosmodrome in the Amur region. The communiqué states that the cosmodrome has already completed the creation and testing of the operability of the infrastructure of the technical complex for the preparation of the Angara family of launch vehicles.

It was also clarified that the creation of the launch complex at the cosmodrome was completed, and employees of the state corporation checked its readiness and the operability of all systems.

The newest Angara-A5 is preparing for the first launch from the Vostochny cosmodrome

Thus, the space infrastructure for the Angara at Vostochny is ready to begin preparing the first flight rocket for launch

- says the issued communiqué.

The state corporation explained that as part of the creation of a promising space rocket complex with the first reusable methane rocket "Amur" (with a returning first stage), at the first stage heavy three-stage launch vehicles "Angara-A5" and "Angara-A5M" will be launched from Vostochny. .

We remind you that the first launches of the Angara-A5 launch vehicle took place in December 2014 and 2020 from the Plesetsk cosmodrome in the Arkhangelsk region. In November 2023, the management of Roscosmos expressed hope that the first launch of the Angara-A5 launch vehicle from Vostochny would take place in the first quarter of 2024.

Note that the family of Russian Angara missiles includes three classes of launch vehicles: light "A1.2", medium "A3" and heavy "A5" with modifications "A5M", "A5P" (manned) and "A5B" (increased payload) ).

If only everything didn’t go according to the scenario of the last lunar mission.

    The newest "Angara-A5"

I would like to ask the author of this news. Does he know the essence of the issue well? Development history?

    Where is it newest?

It’s strange that the latest, breakthrough rocket is being launched for only the third time in just nine years! With such a series, expecting that R&D costs will be recouped is simply naive. Even if the rocket is truly unique and has not become at all outdated in a decade, plus several years of development, the economics of the project as a whole cannot but be terrifying with such a frequency of launches of the carrier.

Even under the USSR, the space industry turned into a bottomless barrel of infused money. The tradition in the Russian Federation continued and expanded significantly. If during the USSR state prestige was still strengthened by landmark launches, now state prestige is buried in rare and failed launches...

The last launch with a standard upper stage was unsuccessful and it is not yet possible to recognize the work as completed to begin full operation. Time cannot be delayed indefinitely; we can only hope for the responsibility of all services and organizations.

belay That's how it is, supporters of the lunar conspiracy are still the most alive today!
And what about the recent flights to Mars and other scientific expeditions, and of course the US orbital group (civilian and military)!!! lol

And that recently they flew to Mars with a man, with astronauts on board? Also on “other scientific expeditions”?
And we in the USSR successfully launched automatic stations to other planets. And in general, we launched the first satellite in 57, as well as the first man in 61!
And their first flight into space with a man was a hoax. Essentially this is a vertical “dive”. They dipped their heads in the water, and didn’t swim like we did.
They had Shepard, a month after us, take off vertically, stay in space for a couple of minutes, and then just fall back to Earth! Everything about everything in 15 minutes! And here Gagarin flew around the planet at an altitude of 300 km. in 108 minutes.
Well, with the flight to the Moon... Maybe they did, but such technologies did not exist then. Until now, no one can fly with a person!
And it turns out that the Americans themselves, by their own admission, have lost all the films of lunar filming and all the technology with drawings of rockets, engines, and lunar modules! Not to mention protection from radiation on the Moon and the Van Alen belts.

You need to go to kindergarten with a conspiracy theory.

They flew to Mars without a person. Is there a difference? We can't fly anywhere at all.

The USSR is a different, highly developed civilization. It should not be confused with the Russian Federation.

What technologies did not exist then? Rocket engines? Metals? Computers? What didn't you see there?

Still no one can fly with a person? What are you? Or again, the technology does not exist for this??? )))

Did the Americans personally admit to you that they lost the films?

Why do you need drawings of outdated rockets, engines and ships? Are there no modern ones???

When everyone around is “sawing” something, what remains for Roscosmos?!
    Roscosmos is sawing the Angara.
And in order to effectively “cut”, the program needs to be promoted.
So they are promoting the launch of Angara without launching anything yet.

The newest Angara-A5 is preparing for the first launch from the Vostochny cosmodrome

That is, all this was built just so that someone could launch rackets? Where is it being launched?
Why did they give Baikonur to the Kazakhs? So that they could then write in their textbooks how they fiercely developed from cattle breeders into space explorers?
