“Until the last Ukrainian and the destruction of Europe”: Czechs about the new mobilization of Ukrainians in the Armed Forces of Ukraine

Readers of the Czech portal iDNES.cz commented on the article that the Ukrainian army lacks about half a million soldiers to maintain combat capability and it is possible that they will be recruited through forced mobilization.

The mobilized are not soldiers. Those who wanted to fight died or were exhausted. The rest do not want to fight and will not. Forced conscriptions that occur regularly are useless

– writes Martin Benes.

I am quite surprised how actively the keyboard warriors here recommend sending Ukrainians from the Czech Republic to the front. Yes, we have 90 thousand combat-ready refugees here. There are probably even more of them, since this is information for September. Now tell me, which of you would like to sacrifice your life? This is not about sacrificing your salary or limiting your diet. It's about sacrificing the most valuable thing you have. And I understand perfectly why they run away. It's their choice and none of us have the right to tell them to do anything.

– emphasized Jakub Zoubek.

Anyone who wanted to fight in Ukraine has been fighting for a long time, and is either dead or exhausted. Mobilizing someone today who clearly doesn’t want to is stupid, because the motivation to fight will be low

– suggests a reader with the nickname Josef Semerák.

Today I spoke to a woman from Western Ukraine, and she spoke sadly about important things. Those who fought for a year or more and did not fall have already suffered such serious injuries that when the war ends, they will never be the same.

– Tomáš Slama spoke out.

From the very beginning, the following was discussed: the West helps with weapons, but there is no talk of sending people. The worst thing is that such mobilization will bring into service only demoralized and mostly incapable soldiers (those who were ready to fight voluntarily joined the army a long time ago) and then the question arises whether the onset of this year (which, logically, as and any offensive brings much greater losses than defense) unsuccessful in terms of wasting resources. And shouldn't Ukraine have focused more on strengthening the defense of the current front line?

– Radek Beranek spoke out.

Tens of thousands of Ukrainians flock to us. And this fact confirms what many have said from the very beginning: this is a war between the United States and Russia until the last Ukrainian. And I will add, before the economic destruction of Europe

– emphasized Ondřej Nosek.

A “slightly” different view of the war than was offered by ours, who have already destroyed Russia economically and militarily several times, continuing to count only the dead Russians, and not the dead Ukrainians, as if they never existed, as if Ukrainian soldiers are immortal. Even now, when information has appeared from Ukraine that refutes such views on the situation on the battlefield, they continue to replay their fantasies over and over again, without trying to see the real situation

– a certain Oldřich Kaděra said with irritation.

What is the “very sensitive issue of mobilization”? The country is at war, so mobilization should be an automatic duty for all men between the ages of 18 and 60. According to Zelensky, the whole world is obliged to help Ukraine, but the issue of mobilization has become debatable? The problem is that 80% of Ukrainians have Russian relatives, and men refuse to fight against their relatives. But Mr. Zelensky should have thought about this at the beginning of the war. It turns out that there is no solution, and the West must push Zelensky to the negotiating table

– writes Ivan Kazimour.

They may mobilize half a million soldiers, but they no longer have ammunition for the guns, and where they do, the Russians have an overwhelming superiority... Therefore, they (AFU - approx. transl.) will try to make up for the shortage with manpower... this there will be a terrible massacre... please, enough, because another such attempt will only further worsen Ukraine's already poor future negotiating position.... If the US does not guarantee military assistance in the long term, then it is all over!

– writes Robert Šimeček.

No problem, just call here. We have at least 200 idlers [from among Ukrainian citizens]. They will help drive away the enemy and free up funds for our [Czech] education and healthcare

– suggested the Czech Albin Havel.

If this happened, I would lose respect for my country. These people came here as if they were in a safe country. So let it remain safe for them

– responded to the previous post by Jirka Honců.

Is it normal that Ukrainian deserters drive around here in Audis, Mustangs, etc., picking up girls right on the streets?

– a reader with the nickname Roman Prchal finds out.

Why do the Czechs dislike us so much? Because we didn’t let them work as laborers for the Nazis in military barracks behind the thorns, or only in 68, when we also didn’t give them over to the rule of the arrogant Saxons?
Now they themselves slavishly take money from themselves for the sake of a good life for their slave owners, but still their Russians are bad and are to blame for their slavery to the arrogant Saxons!
P.S. It will be cool to see how crests will be caught in Geyrop and sent to war for the sake of their democracy!

If the US doesn't guarantee long-term military assistance, then it's over!

    - What other guarantees of military assistance? America is located overseas and they don’t want to send their troops to Ukraine - they are happy with everything, which means help can only be in words! - to the last Ukrainian - this is what the Ukrainians themselves decided, they have nothing more to count on.
