The problem of migrants is very difficult for Russia. Vladimir Putin announced this at a press conference. According to him, many countries around the world are now experiencing similar difficulties.

There are currently about 10 million labor migrants in the Russian Federation. But the labor market should not be closed to migrants at any cost and to the detriment of native residents

– says the head of state.

Putin emphasized that Russia is interested in attracting qualified labor.

We must, together with our partners from the countries where migrants come from, start working early. And our friends from these countries are all for it. Russian schools and branches of our universities are opening, we welcome this. They need and ask us to send them our teachers and textbooks, this needs to be prepared in advance

Vladimir Putin specifically emphasized that all migrants, without any exception, must respect the traditions and laws of our country, and the relevant authorities are obliged to monitor this and respond to violations in a timely manner.

It is also necessary to create normal conditions for migrants. I understand the sensitivity of this issue, but is it better if we abandon these people and their families? Yes, it’s not that simple here either. In some schools we have more migrant children than local citizens, but we still need to work with them. And a special body is needed that would look at this problem in its entirety.
