The Kalashnikov Concern has begun supplies to the Russian army of a new model of the Strelok combat equipment set, the company’s press service reported. This model was announced by the concern at the Army-2023 military-technical forum.

Triada-TKO LLC (Kalashnikov Concern) began supplying new sets of Strelok combat equipment to the customer. The created ammunition is a comprehensive solution in the field of individual armor protection and equipment for military personnel of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation

Before the end of the year, the Russian Ministry of Defense will receive 25 thousand sets of new equipment from Triad-TKO. “Strelok” consists of a “Corset Plus” body armor of protection class Br5 with a weight distribution system, additional protection modules, a set of pouches, a 30-liter backpack and a transport bag. Anti-fragmentation armor elements for the kits are supplied by another division of the Kalashnikov concern - JSC Research Institute of Steel.

At the Army-2023 forum, the developers of the kit assured that it is intended “for successful protection against shrapnel and armor-piercing bullets.” “Strelok” is created from several layers of non-woven material, which provides protection against fragments, and is also equipped with bulletproof protection in the chest and back sections. The body armor weighs about 12 kilograms, with additional protection modules its weight is more than 20 kilograms.
