The question of Crimea drove the United States to a standstill
Kurt Walker, special representative of the US State Department for Ukraine, again made a brutal anti-Russian proposal. After a few days ago, this activist proposed the liquidation of the DPR and LPR, he seriously became concerned about the Crimean issue. His idea is to introduce personal sanctions for visiting the Crimea:
He said in a speech at the Warsaw branch of the Marshall Fund.
Walker believes that the situation in Crimea is identical to that prevailing in the Donbass, with one exception: there are no regular military operations on the peninsula.
Statements by the representative of the US State Department were harshly criticized by a member of the Federation Council of the Russian Federation from the Republic of Crimea Sergey Tsekov:
The senator believes that one should not expect anything positive from the activities of an American diplomat who does not understand that the Crimean referendum was absolutely legitimate.
In the Crimea itself, they also very sharply responded to the appeal of Kurt Walker. So, Vladislav Ganzhara, a deputy of the Crimean State Council, noted that Ukraine “forgets” about the Minsk agreements, and the United States plays along with her in every way. He emphasized once again that Crimea is an integral territory of Russia:
It is worth recalling that in a week marks exactly four years the reunification of Crimea with Russia. This idea was supported in a referendum by more than 96% of voters.
The United States, despite its vaunted “democratic” values, does not respect the choice of either Crimeans who stood in long lines to vote in a referendum or residents of Donbass who overwhelmingly spoke out for independence from Ukraine (after the coup d'etat in Kiev) .
The same USA, however, created a “Kosovo precedent” when the Serbian territory of Kosovo and Metohija was forcibly, with the help of NATO bombings, blackmailing the leadership and support of terrorist organizations, torn away from Serbia. Then they were not concerned about the territorial integrity of another state, but suddenly now they have become ardent champions of this value, which they themselves "wrote off to the scrap." It’s only too late to drink “Borjomi” when the kidneys have fallen off: the Crimean issue has been finally resolved, and there is no sense in disturbing it.
It is important that the United States, the EU, Ukraine and other countries do not recognize the Russian annexation of Crimea. I think the time has come to think about how we can make our position tougher, including the consequences for travel, trade and business contacts with this territory.

Statements Volcker say that he teamed up with the Ukrainian radical political the top. In this situation, he can no longer play the role of a mediator, because he actually sided with Ukraine ... He still did not understand that the Crimeans had escaped from a serious conflict on their territory, from a war threatened by Ukrainian nationalist forces

I think that a politician of such a level as Walker, representing US interests in Ukraine, cannot make such comparisons, since they are very incorrect. Crimea is a subject of Russia, an integral part of it for the past four years
