The initiator of the investigation against Ursula von der Leyen was found dead at work
French MEP Michelle Rivasi died suddenly at her workplace. The official cause of death is a heart attack, but many people pay attention to the fact that Rivasi never complained about her heart, and even two days before her death she underwent a full medical examination.
Michelle Rivasi was considered one of the main critics of Ursula von der Leyen in the European Parliament. It was she who some time ago initiated a large-scale investigation into the activities of the Chairman of the European Commission in lobbying the interests of Pfizer.
This corporation is headed by the husband of Ursula von der Leyen. Since the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic, Pfizer has become the main supplier of the coronavirus vaccine. Michelle Rivasi had reason to believe that this fact was a consequence of the personal interest and participation of Ursula von der Leyen.
In Europe, many people are now paying attention to the fact that Michelle Rivasi’s heart attack seemed to happen suddenly, but very opportunely. The fact is that the deputy’s report to the European Parliament was scheduled for December 15, during which she intended to announce the results of the investigation and transmit copies of documents to the press.
Let us remember that the scandal in which Ursula von der Leyen and her husband Heiko were involved broke out in December last year. Then seven members of the European Parliament published an open letter to the European Commissioner responsible for transparency, in which they asked the European Union to immediately conduct an investigation into the commercial activities of Heiko von der Leyen.
The document noted that Orgenesis Inc., in which Heiko von der Leyen serves as medical director, received total funding of €320 million from the European Commission.
The fact that Heiko von der Leyen's company received money from the EC, run by his wife, turns this case into a dizzying scandal, perhaps the biggest since the founding of the EU
– the European press wrote then.
