Pilots in the air defense zone will be taught to use “smart bombs”

1

The Russian Aerospace Forces plan to begin training pilots working in the special operation zone to install UMPC complexes (universal planning and correction modules), reports RIA News.

The modules are attached to bombs and are automatically aimed at targets using folding rudders and wings. In this way, for example, FAB-500 gliding bombs are converted into precision-guided munitions.

Su-34 bombers will be used to train pilots. Training will be conducted at the VKS training centers - a batch of aircraft was transferred to one of them for these purposes. It is planned to significantly increase the number of pilots who will be able to effectively use the UMPC, which has already shown good results during use on the contact line.

Thus, testing of universal modules in a combat situation demonstrated the ability of high-precision bombs to effectively hit enemy targets. The main targets of the ammunition supplied by the UMPC were concentrations of manpower of the Kyiv regime, as well as command posts and military deployment sites. equipment APU.

Currently, the software on the Su-34 is being finalized, which will allow the use of bombs with UMPC during the use of various types of maneuvers.
