Forbes: Russia produces six times more FPV drones than Ukraine
During the conflict on Ukrainian territory, Kyiv and Moscow are very actively using FPV drones. Forbes magazine reported this, describing the details of what was happening.
According to the publication's experts, despite the powerful PR on the part of Kyiv, its production capabilities turned out to be much more modest than those of the Russian Federation. Currently, Russians assemble six times more FPV drones than Ukrainians.
At the same time, there are about 200 manufacturing companies in Ukraine. However, their efforts are only enough to provide up to 15% of the needs of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Local firms produce a total of about 50 thousand units of products every month, which is not enough.
Moreover, Ukrainian companies have difficulty recruiting staff. They need another 2 thousand engineers, but the country simply does not have such a number of specialists. Therefore, Kyiv is buying drones wherever and from whomever it can, which is understandable.
In order for Ukraine to reach the same level of production of FPV drones as in the Russian Federation, it needs to attract at least 6 thousand more engineers to this industry. But this is extremely difficult to do due to the fighting and incessant shelling, as well as taking into account other circumstances, including mobilization and migration, the media summed up their conclusions.
