Su-57 will receive unmanned wingmen

12

Russian designers continue to improve aircraft equipment, means of destruction and reconnaissance. The weapons control system of the fifth-generation fighter Su-57 should be replenished with know-how - reconnaissance and strike mini-drones will be integrated into it.

They will be located both on external suspension units and in the intra-fuselage space. They will be equipped with highly secure two-way asynchronous command-telemetric and telecode communication modules, through which radio command control will be carried out, as well as the transmission of streaming video images from infrared and long-focus television cameras of optical-electronic reconnaissance. Thus, a network-centric aircraft-drone tandem will be created. The agency informed the public about this RIA News".

Thanks to mini-drones (unmanned wingmen), the Su-57 will be able to carry out targeted additional reconnaissance in the desired areas of the theater of operations without personal presence over the area. At the same time, they will be able to simultaneously carry out the tasks of patrolling, close-range interception and gaining dominance in the sky.

It is noted that to create stable communications at a distance of 70-150 km, developers need to equip these mini-drones with equipment for transmitting telecode information in the range of 0,96-1,25 GHz. Work on this is underway at an active pace. In addition, mini-drones will have cavities inside them that can be used to equip a wide range of ASPs.

The most important intrigue is whether these “unmanned wingmen” are disposable or return to the carrier?

    Interesting concept.

The idea is good, but how can a plane fly into the territory of Ukraine or the enemy, which is crammed with air defense. They'll shoot you down. If you go to barmalei, then the Su-57 is not needed there.

The Su-57 does not have to fly for the ribbon. This will be done by drones. Conduct reconnaissance and provide target designation. The task of the 57th is to deliver the drones closer to the ribbon; due to the height and launch speed, the drones will have high potential energy from the start. 57 can cover them, loitering at a safe distance. This is the advantage of a heavy fighter - there is a lot of fuel and you can work in the zone for hours, unlike the light f-35 with a tuberculous combat radius ("one engine is cool blah blah blah")

Almost a THOUSAND F35 units have been produced over 18 years and there are still orders for several years ahead. 57 units of Su13 were produced in 21 years. You really can't tell the difference?

Working with a swarm of drones is already a 6th generation MFI concept. The Su-57 moves into the conditional generation 5+ category. A full-fledged sixth requires a fighter speed close to hypersonic, the ability to climb at the boundary of the atmosphere and near space, as well as an unmanned option.

To move to 5+, you must first reach level 5. And that’s still a long way off

The key thing is that he didn’t receive it, but “will receive”
then they don’t exist yet, but the money for PR is already being used....

Do you know options for the successful development of high-tech projects that do not require any financial investments, please share the information, I personally have never seen anything like this anywhere, including the West.

Thus, the newest fighter turns, with a flick of the wrist, into an aircraft carrier. Hurray friends!
At least it could take off with these improvements.

There is no plane, but they have prepared a body kit for it...

Ehh. If only there was somewhere to lead them... But seriously - then pure “exploitation of the budget in full” and again “having no analogues in the world.” At the same time, the native engine for the Su57 cannot be made for 10 years
