Generally without frames: Samsung is preparing a hex smartphone

The struggle for the "palm" in the smartphone industry continues. Flexible frameless devices had not yet had time to appear, as one of the industry leaders - the Korean company Samsung, again surprised gadget lovers.

It turns out that on the eve of the manufacturer registered another 2 patents. According to preliminary data obtained from reliable sources, the developers want to create a smartphone, a camera, speakers and other sensors of which will be hidden under the display. Moreover, the new model even plans to "get rid" of the USB type C connector. But that's not all. The designers thought there was not enough frameless screen, and they decided to “extend” it to the side panels of the device, which, naturally, would increase its thickness.

The second patented gadget promises to be revolutionary at all. It turns out that Samsung developers decided to “encroach on the holy of holies” and deprive their new smartphone of the forms familiar to the user. Now the device will resemble a hexagon. Moreover, on fairly narrow side faces as well as in the previous prototype, a display with function buttons will appear.

Whether new models will be launched into mass production and whether “unusual” devices will take root in the industry is not yet known. But the designers from Samsung do not cease to amaze us with their futuristic solutions. It's only the beginning?
