The Israeli army completely disabled the runway at Damascus airport
Satellite images of the runway at Damascus airport have been published online. The air harbor was subject to Israeli air strikes for several weeks.
The published footage clearly shows seven large craters, which were the result of precision-guided munitions. Moreover, experts draw attention to the fact that they are all equidistantly located along the entire length of the runway. This makes it impossible to use the airport for its intended purpose until large-scale repairs are carried out. Simply put, not a single aircraft will be able to take off or land at the airport in the Syrian capital. This, in fact, is what Israeli aviation sought.
Military experts focus on the fact that the airport in the Syrian capital began to come under air attacks not so long ago, but has already turned out to be unsuitable for operation. At the same time, Russian aviation has been trying to disable airfields in Ukraine for many months. However, soon after the next attack, the runways of Ukrainian air harbors are again used for takeoff and landing of aircraft.
This suggests that there is no system in the attacks of Russian aviation; the strikes are carried out rather chaotically. And their effect turns out to be very short-term. Airfield repair services manage to restore runway functionality in a short time.
