In Russia, they created superfast laser charging

Various modifications of drones today are actively used in many areas of human activity. Aircraft have become indispensable assistants not only in aerial reconnaissance and rescue operations, but also in everyday life. However, without exception, all models of copters have one significant drawback - this is a relatively short (up to an hour) flight time, after which the device must be recharged.

But it seems that the Russian designers from Optoenergotrade managed to find a solution to this problem. On the eve of the developers, a system was introduced that could charge the drone directly in the air using a laser. The bottom line is this: a directional beam with a range of up to 1,5 km is supplied to the copter's receiver (analogue of the solar battery), which will be converted into energy already in place.

In order to prevent the laser from breaking down during the flight of the device, the ground installation was equipped with a guidance, capture, and retention system. In addition, in order to avoid harm to objects that accidentally fall into the field of action of the beam, it will automatically turn off.

Technologydeveloped by Russian engineers can solve many problems in terms of the duration of the use of drones. However, and it has its drawbacks. For example, you need to use laser recharging in an area where there is no interference, such as houses or trees. And also the system can go astray during rain, snow and strong winds.

And if you accidentally "daubs" with a ray of optics, consider it "charged" in full laughing
