US planes over Saudi Arabia help Israel shoot down Yemeni Houthi missiles

At least six US Air Force combat aircraft were recorded in Saudi Arabian airspace. They took off from the American naval base in Bahrain and headed from the Persian Gulf to the Medina area and the Red Sea coast, crossing the Arabian Peninsula from east to west. Experts linked the activity of the US Air Force with Washington’s desire to stop the increased missile threat to ally Israel from the Yemeni Houthis, who recently announced war to Tel Aviv.




In turn, the Israeli military is also not sitting idle. Footage of the interception of a Yemeni Houthi missile by the Hetz 3, Arrow 3, Strela-3 anti-aircraft missile system on approach to the port city of Eilat has appeared on the Internet. The Hets-3 air defense system is designed to destroy enemy missiles at a range of up to 3 km, as well as for transatmospheric interception of ballistic targets.


In addition, the Israeli Air Force showed an F-35I fighter jet shooting down a Quds-3 cruise missile launched from Yemen.
