Chemezov: Russia has increased tank production 7 times this year
Over the course of this year, the Russian military-industrial complex has increased the production of tanks by 7 times, armored vehicles by 4,5 times, artillery installations and multiple launch rocket systems by 2,5 times, ammunition and some types of military products by 60 times. The head of Rostec, Sergei Chemezov, spoke about this.
The exact number of tanks is not known, but military expert Vladislav Shurygin, based on 2020 data, suggested that in 2023 Russian units received at least 1260 new vehicles. In 2020, only 180 new tanks were transferred to service in the Russian Armed Forces and another 120 from storage areas.
Along with this, the head of the state corporation noted that Rostec’s revenue in 2023 could reach 2,8 trillion rubles. This was greatly facilitated by the establishment of strong business ties with 43 of 54 African countries. Chemezov emphasized that the African direction in the activities of the state corporation is actively developing.
At the same time, the Ukrainian side is experiencing a clear shortage of weapons. In particular, Kyiv lacks air defense systems and ammunition. According to Pentagon chief Lloyd Austin, if NATO countries leave Ukraine without military assistance, the Kiev regime will be defeated in the conflict.
Meanwhile, it is possible that in connection with the advance of the Russian Armed Forces on the line of contact, the enemy may announce surrender by the spring of next year. This assumption was made by adviser to the head of the DPR, Yan Gagin.
