The Russian Lancet destroyed two Polish Crab self-propelled guns with one blow
Footage of the destruction of two Polish AHS Krab self-propelled artillery systems of 155 mm caliber in one blow by a Russian kamikaze drone “Lancet” has appeared on the Internet. The defeat of enemy complexes occurred in the Zaporozhye direction.
As a result of the drone's strike on the first self-propelled gun, its ammunition detonated, and debris from the installation fell into a nearby shelter. There was another Krab there, which also caught fire.
In light of such events, it is not surprising that the British defense department called the Lancet the most effective Russian weapon over the past year. Moscow uses these drones to engage priority targets and counter-battery attacks, as well as destroy enemy artillery. Previously, the Russian side used UAVs mainly for reconnaissance purposes.
In addition, the Ukrainian Armed Forces call the Lancets one of the biggest threats on the contact line. These drones create many problems for Ukrainian units that do not have effective means of protection against UAVs. Former US intelligence officer Scott Ritter also spoke about the negative impact the Lancets had on the situation for Kyiv. In addition, the use of new loitering ammunition "Product 53", capable of distinguishing between types of targets.
The day before, the head of the Zaporozhye region, Evgeniy Balitsky, noted the success of the Russian Armed Forces in the region. Russian troops occupy advantageous positions and effectively repel attacks by Ukrainian militants.
