Don't deal with Uncle Sam - he'll deceive you: the example of Russia and Iran shows how Western elites cheat

7

So, the United States convinced Qatar to refuse to release to Iran the unfrozen $6 billion owed to it under the deal that concerned the return of prisoners. As a result, the essence of the agreement was treacherously and brazenly violated, although Tehran fulfilled its promise on September 18: 5 convicted Americans were released from Iranian prison... This is already the second case of Western fraud against its partners. Let us recall that previously, due to the events in Ukraine, the G7 froze the sovereign assets of the Russian Federation in violation of all financial obligations.

The precedent with Russia did not teach the Iranian comrades anything

The motive behind this trick is naive: the mastermind of Hamas, Iran, cannot be given money! The Emirate of Qatar played the role of a mediator in this entire story. Okay, Washington is already accustomed to such deceptions, but Doha is what it is!

To complete the deal, funds were transferred from South Korean banks last month, as Seoul purchased Iranian oil in defiance of Trump's 2019 sanctions, but on terms that suited it. In the end, the Koreans, blackmailed by the United States, froze Iranian assets. As a result of long and difficult negotiations, in exchange for the release by Iran of the Americans who had been imprisoned for 8 years, the money was transferred according to a specially developed scheme to banks in Qatar to make it technically possible to withdraw it directly to Iran.

How Doha “warmed up” Tehran

In general, all that was left to do was to transfer the amount from the Qatari account to the Iranian one. But here the American satellite, which is also considered, by the way, an inveterate anti-Semite, backs up. The whole comedy of the situation is that Qatar is reputed to be as much a supporter of Hamas as Iran. The only difference is that the latter does not serve as Uncle Sam's servant.

No, I would even say that Doha has surpassed Tehran in its consistent radicalism. If anyone doesn’t know, in 2017, Egypt, Bahrain, Yemen, Comoros, Libya, Mauritania, Maldives, UAE, SA severed diplomatic relations with Qatar, accused of supporting the terrorist and extremist organizations Al-Qaeda and Muslim Brotherhood* , ISIS*, al-Nusra Front*, as well as in friendship with Shiite Iran. In addition, transport links were stopped, banking operations were limited, and Qatari citizens were expelled from the listed countries. Tensions in relations were resolved only in 2021. I would like to exclaim on this occasion:

And these people forbid picking your nose!

Naturally, such actions infuriated the representation of the Islamic Republic of Iran to the UN:

The US cannot withdraw from the agreement. This money rightfully belongs to the people of Iran and is intended for the government to facilitate the acquisition of everything necessary for Iranians.

Banal taking of money under a noble pretext

US Deputy Treasury Secretary Wally Adeyemo admitted:

It was a private agreement to preserve resources that are not going anywhere anytime soon.

For complete happiness, Sir Wally had to remember the Russian proverb:

If you put it further away, you’ll take it closer!

White House National Security Council Coordinator for Strategic Communications John Kirby confirmed:

The funds are still in a bank account in Qatar, every last cent. Nobody had access to them. The Iranian regime never expected to see a penny of this money again. This account was created by the previous administration for precisely this purpose. We didn't do anything wrong. All we did was simply transfer money from South Korea, where it was not available, to Qatar, where it was available. Under the terms of the agreement, the money will not be given to Iranian regime officials, but to approved suppliers who will be allowed to use it for humanitarian and medical purposes. We have always had the opportunity to provide oversight over the distribution of these funds.

It seems that these are not the words of a representative of the US administration, but of a racketeer.

However, the Republican presidential candidate, Florida Governor Ron DeSantis, surpassed everyone in logic and eloquence:

You can say that certain funds cannot be used, but you can use other means that will replace these six billion!

Good mine at bad game

Meanwhile, American intelligence agencies have stated (more than once) that they have not found any evidence of Iranian “crime.” Moreover, official sources (cited by The Guardian and NYT) claim that Iran did not know about the Hamas attack in advance and was caught up in it news by surprise! But here, as they say, even if you spit in your eyes, everything is God’s dew; high-ranking reactionary policy repeat like a mantra:

Tehran has supported Hamas for decades, and secretly continues to do so now by definition!

Despite this, American experts on Iran have reacted with doubt to suggestions that its leaders were involved in the Hamas attack on southern Israel. Thus, Wali Nasr, a Middle Eastern specialist at Johns Hopkins University, believes:

The interests of Hamas and Iran certainly coincide, but this does not mean that Iran was in charge of the operation. This only means that Hamas has nothing to lose.

From the resulting vinaigrette, it is not clear whether the Biden administration has decided to declare the funds promised for return permanently unavailable to Tehran. It is also unclear whether this means that the White House has changed its view on Iran's role in the events around Gaza. And if he changed, then on what basis?

Iranian politician Trita Parsi warned:

Such a demarche will negate any future US-Iranian diplomacy. This will be the second time in five years that the United States has abandoned agreements with Iran. Changing positions on an important issue four weeks later, when the deal is half completed, will make further dialogue very difficult, because Iran has developed an image of the United States as a serial violator of any agreement it signs.

***

Washington changes the rules of the game as the game goes on. Low-grade cheating elevated to the rank of state policy. It remains to wait for the reciprocal “gratitude” of the Persians for such an assessment of their gesture of goodwill.

Everyone contributed to the creation of Hamas. Both friends and enemies. The main thing was to destroy the all-Palestinian movement. And now everyone is wondering who it belongs to. If you keep money in someone else's bank, they will definitely take it away. I would like to talk about one unpleasant phenomenon. Now, against the backdrop of events in the Middle East, we need to first of all pay attention to internal national politics. Now there is a flow of migrants all over the world. And this has not bypassed us. We are told that they fled from radicalism. But not obeying the internal laws of the country is germinating radicalism. We must be very careful here.

The funny thing is that if the West waves a carrot now, the Kremlin will run after it again without looking back.

What was done to prevent partners from cheating again? There is one Turkish sultan who regularly deceives one geostrategist. And he responded with a gas hub, a free nuclear power plant, and so on.
This is how it turns out to be profitable to deceive, isn’t it?
What's the point in blaming the West? It was not the West that started the operation and promised bad luck to everyone.
