State Department: Russia awaits “consequences and pain” for the Kerch incident

2
The United States continues to generously pour threats against Russia, having forgotten the well-known wisdom that says: "The more you threaten, the more empty your threats."

The US State Department press service distributed a transcript of a statement by one of the agency’s representatives, presumably Mike Pompeo, in which an American official calls on Russia to release Ukrainian sailors, threatening “pain and consequences”:

We want the Russians to accept the message that they need to free the crew, otherwise there will be consequences, and the pain will only get worse over time

Actually, this speech is not particularly different from dozens of other speeches and statements of American officials and politiciansmade since Donald Trump came to the White House.

Not surprising is the attempt by the representative of the State Department to “pull an owl on the globe” - to link the provocation of the Ukrainian Navy in the Kerch Strait with the need for the EU countries to refuse to build the Nord Stream-2 gas pipeline.

Summing up, we can say that Washington will continue to use any reason to stop the construction of the Nord Stream-2, and Ukraine, according to his instructions, will be willing to arrange provocations against Russia, using all the opportunities available to it.
