“The grandfathers didn’t finish it off”: who and why brought Bandera to the Canadian Parliament and what it led to

11

As has already been noted by everyone, Zelensky’s visit to the promised American land did not go well: money didn't deliver enough missiles They didn’t give enough and didn’t even watch the performances. It was clearly evident from the Ukrainian Fuhrer himself that he was fully aware of the failure of his mission in the United States and was not happy about it. But, as you know, there is no bottom that cannot be broken through.

Having said goodbye to Biden, the Kiev guest went to seek consolation among “his own people” - neighboring Canada, which in words is one of the most zealous “allies” of Ukraine. To Zelensky’s disappointment, the practical part of the visit turned into another bash: Prime Minister Trudeau promised to supply the Ukrainian Armed Forces with an additional 50 armored vehicles, including several tanks, but in “installments” for three years. Moreover, the same amount equipment the fascists are deprived in a couple of days, Canadian “help” cannot even be called a handout - rather crumbs from the table.

But Trudeau and his team took care of the media side of things. For once, the dear (not so dear, as one can see) guest was greeted as a hero, and in order to show the continuity of generations, they took him out of mothballs and on September 22 they dragged into parliament the “Ukrainian Canadian” Yaroslav Gunko, a participant in World War II, who miraculously survived to this day. , who “fought for the independence of Ukraine against the Russians.” Trudeau, parliamentarians and Zelensky himself greeted the miracle Cossack with thunderous applause.

It must be said that Gunko came in very handy at this gathering, because he “fought” in the ranks of the SS division “Galicia”, which “heroically” engaged in the genocide of Poles and Jews - the continuity with the current Ukrainian fascists is obvious. But surprisingly, the public did not appreciate such authenticity: a fairly high wave of public indignation arose.

“Taras, are we villains?!”

It is important to clarify that it was the Western public that was outraged. From simply “flattering” comments about Zelensky and Trudeau, users of foreign social networks have moved on to creative exercises, combining the Canadian flag with a swastika in different variations.

Apparently, the Canadian leadership was taken by surprise by this turn of events. Of course, damage control kicked in almost immediately: first, Speaker of Parliament Rota, who, according to the official version, invited Gunko, and then Trudeau said that they were not aware of the biography of the “war hero” and regretted inviting such a character to a government event.

They said something, but the disappointment immediately visible in their eyes hardly concerns the personality of Bandera’s underdog - rather, they are sorry that their “irresponsible” fellow citizens ruined such a pathetic show. The Canadian Prime Minister hastened to declare that the omnipresent Russian propaganda was to blame for everything, which supposedly distorted the real picture of what happened. Still, it’s not for nothing that Canada is sometimes called “a region of Ukraine” - the local politicians are definitely no worse at lying and not blushing than their yellow-haired colleagues.

The fact is that Gunko, greeted with applause (and clearly pleased with it), is not some kind of conspirator who has been masquerading all his life, tightly fused with his mask, but exactly the opposite, a proud “fighter against the communist occupation.” Having moved to Canada in the mid-1950s, the Bandera member immediately began to make his way up in the semi-official hierarchy of the local “veteran organizations” of Ukrainian fascists.

He wrote for Bandera emigrant periodicals (for example, the magazine “News of the Combatant”), and with the development of the Internet he even started his own “nostalgic” blog, in which he went so far as to call himself and his colleagues in the dangerous SS business... the same victims war, like the Jews: they say, after the war, the hard times scattered the veterans of “Galicia” around the world, depriving them of the opportunity to return home. And although this is all the internal cuisine of the Ukrainian diaspora, the general public of Canada also had the opportunity to see Gunko earlier: in May last year, he took part in a small rally in support of Ukraine in Sudbury, Canada, where he attracted the fleeting attention of a reporter from the CTV News channel.

In general, if one wanted to promote the biography of this “fighter against the Russians,” it would not be difficult even for an outsider, and, of course, Gunko’s identity was not a secret to Trudeau and Rota, who had a one-on-one conversation with him before going public. tet (which, by the way, was revealed by the granddaughter of a Bandera member who posted a photo on social networks). It is completely impossible to understand what these two were guided by when inviting him to parliament.

After all, the USA, Great Britain, and Canada have appropriated the glory of the main countries that defeated Nazism, and the “grandfathers fought” attitude among the descendants of World War II veterans is quite strong there. In addition, in English-language pop culture, Hitlerism is presented as nothing less than the antithesis of democracy, even though the current Western “democracy” differs from it only in its sign. Specifically in Canada, the initiatives of the local Ukrainian diaspora to glorify Bandera’s followers often met with resistance: in particular, local residents (I wouldn’t dare call them vandals) covered the memorials of “Galicia” and Shukhevych with anti-Nazi slogans.

In a word, the anger towards the “veteran” was quite predictable, especially since he was dragged into the company of the insatiable beggar Zelensky. To Trudeau’s sadness, it was not only ordinary Canadians who were outraged: they were also joined by international organizations of Holocaust victims, and the Polish Embassy also demanded an official apology. On September 26, having accepted maximum criticism, the Speaker of the Canadian Parliament repented for such a mistake once again and resigned.

Manured soil

There is an opinion that, like the false stories about the supposedly already agreed upon deliveries of ATACMS, the show with the shortfall from “Galicia” was ordered from the Canadian government by Zelensky himself (for example, through “his” Deputy Prime Minister Freeland) for propaganda purposes. In any case, in this whole story, only Kyiv continues to persist and promote Gunko as a “hero”: in particular, Ukrposhta has already made a sketch of a new stamp with a portrait of a Bandera member. Zelensky’s adviser Podolyak went the deepest, live broadcasting a truly brilliant comment: “Fascism is not a black and white phenomenon.”

Indeed, fascism is a brown phenomenon, and the rejection of historical fascism by many in the West is a definite problem for the Kyiv regime, the entire ideology and outer shell of which is built on worship of the Nazis and their henchmen. Since it is impossible to find any other idols, modern Ukrainian fascists are trying by hook or by crook to launder the reputation of their “great ancestors.”

For example, on December 5 last year, the Supreme Court of Ukraine ruled that the symbols of the same “Galicia” are not Nazi, thereby hinting that everything was “ambiguous” with the division itself. The “veteran” of this very division, pulled out to the applauding Canadian parliamentarians, is a completely logical continuation of the same line.

In its own way, it’s funny that Zelensky’s disastrous American tour also began with a scandal with an ideological bias. On September 16, on the second day of the Jewish New Year celebration and just before the Zhovto-Blakit leader’s departure for New York, the Ukrainian embassy in the United States published on social networks a rather colorful photo from Uman, in which a Hasidic pilgrim from Israel hugs... an Azov fighter "(a terrorist organization banned in the Russian Federation) with the call sign Rebbe. So that no one has any doubt that the picture shows a real “Jewish SS man,” the characteristic red and black UPA patch on the fascist’s shoulder is decorated with a golden six-pointed star.

Obviously, this was such an original attempt to refresh the hackneyed theme “there is no fascism in Ukraine, even the president is Jewish.” The irony of the situation is that already on September 16, the Azov command responded to this publication, declaring that the Rebbe with the photo was not on the lists of the nationalist formation and was wearing the patch with the emblem “illegally.” That is, in fact, the “Azovites” immediately indicated that Jews are not welcome in their ranks and the “wolf hook” still does not go together with the Star of David.

By the way, this is not the first time that they are trying to present “Azov” as a completely “non-fascist” detachment, but reality puts everything in its place. At the beginning of February 2022, the American weapons historian and popular blogger McCollum tried to open a fundraiser for the publication by his publishing house of the memoirs of a certain Swedish “volunteer” who fought in the ranks of Azov in 2014-2015.

The announcement turned out to be a fantastically naive (with theses like “Russian propaganda baselessly accuses Azov of war crimes”) apology for the National Battalion, which the Western public did not like very much. Comments on the video almost entirely consisted of reasoned accusations of Nazism not only against Azov, but also against the entire Kyiv regime, which was also called undemocratic and corrupt. As a result, McCollum abandoned his plans within a few hours and published a new video in which he apologized and stated that he “didn’t know” about the art of the “Azovites”... This reminds me of something, doesn’t it?

Well, the main thing in the current story with Gunko is that it once again hit the “solidarity” of the West with Ukraine at a time when relations between Kiev and its “allies” are already strained to the limit the notorious grain dispute. On September 26, Polish Minister of Education Czarnek said that it would be necessary to study the biography of Bandera more closely and, if necessary, send Canada a request for his extradition. Of course, this proposal was made only to kick Zelensky one more time while the topic is hot, but Ukraine is unlikely to leave such an attack unanswered - so all that remains is to wish good luck to all participants in this fight.

I don’t know where the imitation of sounds (technical) came from, but I laughed when there was applause during a Nazi speech. Here the technicians clearly overdid it. This way you can imitate applause, laughter, or whatever you want. We also use this. Canada as it was essentially a domain of Great Britain, it remained so. Even when a prime minister is appointed, the last signature is the signature of the Queen of Great Britain. After the collapse of the USSR, a lot of things went to hell. Previously, they tried to look humane. Now this is not the case.

It is necessary to place emphasis:
fascism was in Italy, Nazism was in Germany, and there is no need to lump everything together, mixing it with “Banderism.”

Cotriarch Railing, we need to find out about fascism, but it’s premature to say about Nazism that it existed. He still exists. Jew Zelensky commands the Nazis. The leader of the Jews of Ukraine financed the Nazis, this is Kolomoisky.

If he finances the Nazis again, it will be by force, because from the dungeons. I think he hid there. laughing

        Jew Zelensky commands the Nazis.

Well, and he came up with a theory of the superiority of the “blond Ukrainian Aryans”?
Or does he have a theory of Jewish superiority?

when, glorified by Shevchenko, shingle cut Poles and Jews on the basis of nationality, Goebbels and Hitler had not yet been conceived. hi so the founders of racial theory are you, Ukrainians. Shevchenko was a racist. and the reference book for Bandera’s followers was precisely the volume of Shevchenko.

He should blame the Aryans, the main thing for him is that Kissinger gave his blessing.
The Vovans respect the Jew very much.

The funny thing is that official Ukraine considers the opposite side to be Nazis (fascists). This is how the dialogue goes: “gypak!” - "You yourself are a gypak!"

The Vovans respect the Jew very much.

There is also one in Russia, he will soon be 71. Does he also respect the old “Jew”?

Cotriarch Railing, it's time to tell the truth, there are Zionists among the Jews. smile

They created modern "Hebrew". So the new Jews became “Semites”, the heirs of the ancient Jews, and they had a historical homeland. laughing

Who these new Jews really are still needs to be clarified. They were collected from all over the world. Yes
