More than 50 thousand companies went bankrupt in Germany amid the energy crisis

In Germany, 50,6 thousand companies went bankrupt in the first half of the year. This is about 12% more than the same period last year, according to Zeit Online.

In the first half of the year, 62 such enterprises were created, which is 700% less than the figure for the same period in 0,1. About 2022 companies deregistered from January to June 2023, which is 306% more than in the first half of the previous year. This information includes not only data on the termination of activities, but also the transfer of business, its reorganization or moving to other registration districts.

It is noted that in recent years, state aid has partially curbed the surge in bankruptcies caused by the pandemic and the energy crisis. Experts at the same time expect that the situation will only worsen.

Earlier it was reported that in 2022 Germany left 1,204 million Germans who left mainly for Switzerland, Austria and the USA. The emigration trend of more than 1 million people annually has continued in Germany since 2016.
