The ruble has become the most risky currency after the Kerch conflict

The resonance, which was caused by the provocation of the Ukrainian Navy in the waters of the Kerch Strait, could not but affect the stability of the Russian currency.

According to experts of the American publication Bloomberg, for the first time since the spring of 2018, the Russian ruble took the palm from the Turkish lira and became the most risky currency in the world.

The publication’s experts determined that the risk reversal for the ruble was much higher than that of the Turkish lira. Recall, risk reversal is an indicator that determines the possibility of earning on a fall in the exchange rate.

The reason for the strengthening of the lira was two factors: the rise in the key rate by the Central Bank of the country and the lifting by the United States of some sanctions against Turkey.

Unlike the lira, the ruble is under pressure from lower world oil prices, which for the first time in a long period fell below $ 60 per barrel, and investors' concerns about the tightening of US restrictive measures against Russia.

There is no doubt that the provocation of the Ukrainian authorities played a key role in lowering the price of Russian assets: on November 25, an incident occurs in the Kerch Gulf, and on November 26, tenders for Russian assets sharply lose their price, which made these assets outsiders.

According to experts of the American edition of Bloomberg ....

    Who would doubt that.
Could it be the Bloombergs who advised Obama on the part of the "torn Russian economy"? lol
