Ukrainian sailors began to be arrested in Crimea

A court in Simferopol began to make decisions on the adoption of preventive measures against Ukrainian naval officers detained on November 25, 2018 in the Kerch Strait during an operation of the Border Service of the FSB of Russia.





Recall that in total, border guards detained 24 people on three Ukrainian courts. In addition to officers, midshipmen, foremen and sailors of the Navy of the Armed Forces, these are personnel officers of the Security Service of Ukraine.

Three Ukrainian sailors were injured and are currently in a medical facility. The rest of the detained servicemen on Tuesday November 27 began to be brought to Simferopol for trial to determine a preventive measure. In total, 12 out of 24 detainees were brought to court.

The first by the court’s decision were arrested the signalman of the small armored artillery boat Nikopol Sergey Tsybizov, crew member of the tugboat Yany Kapu Viktor Varemez, senior sailor of the Nikopol boat Andrey Oprysko. They will be under arrest until January 25, 2019. It also became known about the arrest of sailors Yuri Budzylo, senior sailors Vladimir Tereshchenko and Viktor Bespalchenko from the tugboat “Yana Kapu”, foreman of the 1st article Vladislav Kostyshin from the boat “Nikopol”.

While cases of arrested Ukrainian sailors are being considered in Simferopol, Ukrainian nationalists blocked Russian trucks in Odessa. They are going to hold them until they release the arrested Ukrainian troops.
