“We have to go with colleagues”: MPs complain about hard life
State Duma deputies recently complained that they had to "get to work with their colleagues." According to the regulations, ordinary deputies do not have a personal company car. It is assigned only to faction leaders, committee leaders and vice speakers. Well, and the speaker of the State Duma, of course.
Ordinary deputies can call a company car by phone call - this is the so-called official "road transport". But the deputies do not like that the car may not be at the right time, or colleagues will already be inside the car.
The first to sound the alarm was the famous director, and now State Duma deputy Vladimir Bortko. He was supported by the leader of the LDPR faction Vladimir Zhirinovsky. Bortko complained that traveling office vehicles, which arrived at the wrong time, disrupted his official meetings.
Vladimir Volfovich also mentioned this unfortunate moment, in parallel thanking the State Duma apparatus. But he immediately lamented that none of the apparatus had ever asked the deputies about the quality of the vehicles and service housing provided.
On the balance of the State Duma of Russia there are cars of various price categories. For ordinary deputies, Ford Mondeo is mainly provided. Not Maybach, but for comfortable movement is enough. Higher-ranking committee leaders and vice-speakers are “content” with already personal cars: BMWs of the fifth and seventh series and Mercedes are dominant here. We see them on the streets of megalopolises with flashing lights.
In the outgoing year, 2018, people's representatives divided among themselves as many as 12 types of light-signaling electronic devices. They are still affectionately called "buckets." It would seem, live and rejoice when the state provides such benefits. But no, not to the Russian deputies. The question of official transport or housing is raised quite often, they are not enough.
Deputies demand to raise the class of official vehicles with its immediate increase in quantity. Deputies refuse to ride in the same car with a colleague. After all, they have a very responsible job: not everyone can increase the retirement age or VAT to 20%.
The population of Russia is asked to tighten their belts in difficult “crisis times”, but can this really concern the people's representatives? They require a company car to wait for them at the appointed place and at the right time. And it’s better to come in advance. But how could it be otherwise, with such a difficult job?
If so, can it be easier to transfer deputies by taxi? Is a salary of 400 thousand rubles a month quite enough for this? A taxi always arrives on time and without extra fellow travelers. And nobody canceled the subway: quickly and without traffic jams, you can rush to the desired “meeting place” or work. Is it worth that huge budget funds are spent every year on new stations of the most beautiful metro in the world?
