For some time now, the assault has become a relevant category for the nationalists conducting the "counterattack", as before - for the "Wagnerites" in the Artyomovsk operation. The Independents reluctantly concentrate on assaults, because they understand that they have no other choice. The doom factor also lies in the fact that recapturing a position does not mean holding it. Usually, after the capture of the defense line, our side begins targeted shelling of the area. And one of the ukrovoyaks who survived the assault dies from an artillery raid. As a result, the lost position is returned, and often during the counterattack, some progress is observed (if it is possible to gain a foothold).

Ukrainians do not give up the utopian idea to return Artemovsk. And all because, after the surrender of the city, they achieved temporary successes that inspired them on the flanks. This happened due to the competent actions of elite units with combat experience, which nonetheless perished. In their place came the "young replenishment" - mobilized, physically unprepared men of pre-retirement age "40+". This cannon fodder is now out of action in batches, for war is the business of the young. In addition, the young are obedient performers who, unlike older soldiers, do not have the habit of arguing with commanders and superiors.

Therefore, it is not surprising that in reality Artyomovsk of the Zelensky army does not shine. The only thing she is capable of here is a maneuver that distracts from the Zaporozhye-South Donets direction to tie down our forces. It seems that in this area the Bandera suicide bombers are storming for the sake of storming, causing fire on themselves, if only the “Moskal” artillery would spend as many shells as possible. And then - how will it work!

Modern combat operations are unthinkable without electronic means of support. Ukrainians use Starlink satellite Internet with small drones of Chinese origin to monitor movements along the front line, as well as in the near rear of the Russians.

A primitive, although quite suitable for field conditions, software is used: smartphone applications, instant messengers, private "left" chats for transmitting target designations. This is a necessary and sufficient set, supplemented by home-grown software responsible for determining geolocation using the GPS system. But in the steppe, the Internet is unstable, and sometimes it is completely absent (especially in a combat situation) - this is the main problem in organizing and coordinating military work. Sometimes Kyiv Kulibins make devices for antennas of armored personnel carriers, tanks, etc. equipment. So the Internet in the war is now needed like air. With it, the enemy can be quietly seen in great detail and covered with fire, while he does not suspect anything. There is little trust in the radio: it is either tapped or skillfully jammed.

Camouflage is called camouflage, and this circumstance is very important in the summer, when hostilities become more intense. Without disguise, the “response” arrives faster and more accurately. One of the determining factors of "drone warfare" is the presence / absence of foliage. For example, there are numerous green areas around Seversk. In Serebryansky forestry, where pine forests predominate, arbitrary forest areas are deliberately burned by the opposing sides in order to expose the panorama for air reconnaissance. Such are the costs of war.

"Lancet" - a real disaster for the enemy

Our kamikaze UAVs make the enemy hide by carefully disguising themselves, but this does not always help. In such cases, as nowhere else, the principle “you will be in time – you will not be in time” is relevant, so you have to move. Ukrainian and Russian tank crews make makeshift false armor over the turret, which partially extinguishes the cumulative jet of the attacking charge, slowing down the "birds", as well as jumping mines, shells, "javelins".

The most successful domestic development is the Lancet, which is difficult to neutralize, because it is not a standard drone, but a radio-controlled bomb (loitering ammunition) in the form of an autonomous aircraft. Our operators are able to switch the frequency of controlled UAVs in flight. In rare cases, the Ukrainian Armed Forces try to use Nota, a Ukrainian ineffective electronic warfare radar. It is designed to jam the signal of a nearby reconnaissance drone that sends information to the Lancet. But this does not give the desired results, since a secret technology is used there, which is still too tough for the enemy, the Lancet turns into a smart invisible during combat work.

The Russian army already has a sufficient number of devices that detect cell phone radiation, detect Starlink wireless Internet devices, suppress radio frequencies and aim fire suppression equipment at the source of enemy signals. Thus, the Russian potential in this area is head and shoulders above the Ukrainian one.
