On the eve of the announcement of the sale of the device from Google, which was called X5-Touch. Satellite communications will be provided by a major operator Thuraya. However, it is worth noting that the device will be equipped with 2 SIM-cards, which will also allow the use of already familiar to most: GSM, 3G or 4G protocols.

As for the technical characteristics, to put it mildly, they do not reach the flagship models of modern smartphones. But the gadget has a waterproof case that is completely protected from external factors.

The X5-Touch screen size will be 5,2 inches, the RAM is 2 GB, the size of the physical disk is 16 GB, and the Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 CPU will provide the device with performance.


The smartphone battery has a capacity of 3800 mAh. In addition, the satellite gadget from Google will be equipped with navigation: GLONAS, BeiDou and GPS, as well as support for the NFC contactless interface.

The appearance of the phone in free sale is expected in a month. The price, at the moment, is not known.
