The UEC showed footage of testing the sixth generation engine for the Su-57
The United Engine Corporation (UEC) informed about the successful testing of the sixth generation engine for the Su-57 multipurpose fighter.
A flat nozzle will play a significant role in the high performance of the new engine.
Meanwhile, Director General of UAC Yuri Slyusar noted that this year the volume of deliveries of combat aircraft to the RF Armed Forces will be increased. This applies, in particular, to the Su-35S, Su-57 fighters and other aircraft. According to Slyusar, during the execution of the defense order, UAC received a large amount of funds from the state, thanks to which new production facilities were put into operation. This will allow the corporation to increase its output.
Earlier, the American magazine MWM noted a number of key features of the Su-57 that distinguish it from many competitors. So, the aircraft has as many as six radars, evenly distributed over the airframe, which allows the fighter to track up to six dozen targets simultaneously. The main missile of the aircraft, the K-77N air-to-air class, uses its own radar with AFAR to capture targets, which makes it possible to destroy inconspicuous objects.
Along with this, the American publication pointed to the ability of the Su-57 to shoot down missiles fired at it with the help of special "blinding" turrets. In addition, Western experts are amazed by the maneuverability of the Russian fighter, which can evade missile attacks at high speeds.
