Russia has taken an important step in the development of unmanned vehicles

3

Last week came out important for our country news. Unmanned trucks KAMAZ-11 and KAMAZ-54901 set off on their first experimental commercial flight along the M-54907 highway from Moscow to St. Petersburg.

It is worth noting that, as strange as it may sound, the importance of this news lies not in the drones themselves.

The thing is that autonomous transport is no longer something new for Russia. Ural is conducting similar tests, EVO.1 drones operate on the territory of the logistics complex in the Moscow region, and autonomous taxis from Yandex run around the capital itself.

At the same time, before mass introduction of unmanned Technology on the roads, our country has to solve two problems.

The first is exclusively in the legal plane. According to the Vienna Convention on Road Traffic of 1968, transport cannot move without a driver. That is why there are operators in the cockpits of our drones.

The second is the roads on which autonomous vehicles will move. In Russia, two approaches were considered - the creation of a universal drone or routes on which unmanned vehicles from any manufacturer can drive.

So, the main highlight of the news of June 14 is that unmanned KamAZ trucks entered the route on the M-11 highway, a digital road equipped with special complexes for tracking the movement of autonomous vehicles.

In addition, a digital twin of the track is created for the drone itself, which makes driving even safer, regardless of the time of day or weather conditions.

It is worth noting that this practice has not previously been used in any country in the world. But that's not all.

If the experiment with the M-11 justifies all the expectations of engineers, other Russian routes will also be equipped with similar technologies.

In turn, taking into account the fact that a lot of goods continue to move through our territory from China to Europe and back, the dispatch of autonomous KAMAZ-54901 and KAMAZ-54907 along the M-11 highway, which took place last week, may well be the beginning of the creation of the “Great unmanned trade route from Asia to the EU.

Both drones and industrial robots are very much needed. And here's how to avoid unemployment in these industries. At a time when there is a large shortage in other professions. At one time, we treated the training of labor personnel carelessly. Although the reserve in this is simply huge. Teenagers in educational closed institutions, in orphanages, in ordinary schools should already receive working professions. But if we hide behind the word "great", then we will not succeed. Training workers is a routine. And no one wants to deal with routine. Give us something big, something big.

According to the Vienna Convention on Road Traffic of 1968, transport cannot move without a driver.

If the concept of unmanned transport is economically and politically beneficial for our country, then the convention should be cancelled. In fairness, according to the new version of the Constitution, the priority of domestic legislation over international.

    Another window dressing.
This idea will bring nothing to the country, except losses.
There is a railway, load the train with 60 containers and don't brainwash the people.
One train will replace 60 drones. Both of them travel from terminal to terminal.
And yet, truck drivers will do everything so that not a single drone reaches its destination.
