Who really killed Kennedy?
55 years ago, on November 22, 1963, the 35th US President John Fitzgerald Kennedy was killed in the American city of Dallas, Texas. Perhaps this person can be ranked among the most amazing and charismatic American presidents in the history of this country.
Arriving in Dallas, Kennedy went to the city center. Being a popular man who paid much attention to his image, Kennedy rode in an open limousine and greeted the people of Dallas who gathered on the streets. Exactly at 12:30, the presidential limousine was fired from automatic weapons. John F. Kennedy received two injuries - in the neck and in the lower right part of the back of the head. The president was rushed to Parkland Hospital, but attempts to resuscitate the head of state failed and at 13:00 he died.
After about an hour and a half, the police managed to detain a suspicious man who shortly before that shot a patrol officer who tried to check his documents. The detainee was Lee Harvey Oswald, who worked in a book warehouse. He was interrogated all night and the whole day after November 23, but the man denied everything, including the murder of a patrol officer.
On October 24, Oswald was taken from the police building to Texas Central Prison. This transition was covered by central television. Someone Jack Ruby, the owner of one of Dallas nightclubs, jumped out from behind a crowd of journalists and shot Oswald in the stomach. At 13:00, exactly two days after Kennedy’s death, his alleged killer died of a bullet wound in the same hospital as the US president.
All the power of the American intelligence services and the propaganda machine was aimed at proving that President Kennedy was killed by a lone Lee Harvey Oswald. However, public opinion stubbornly did not want to believe that some maniac could just shoot the head of a superpower just like that. Therefore, a wide variety of versions have spread - from the conspiracy of the Soviet or Cuban special services to the revenge of the Ku Klux Klan or the Italian mafia.
As you know, Lee Harvey Oswald served in the US Marine Corps, and it was a sniper. However, his shooting performance was below average, so many doubted that he would be able to hit two moving bullets out of three within five seconds on a moving target. However, a special study was conducted - they took three volunteers who had undergone sniper training in the US Marine Corps and were instructed to shoot at three targets located at a distance of 50 to 80 meters. The results were impressive: 6 out of 6 hits on the first target, 2 out of 6 on the second and 5 out of 6 on the third. The experiment confirmed - Oswald would have had little difficulty getting into Kennedy.
The second reason for doubt about Oswald's involvement was the “magic bullet” that first hit Kennedy and then wounded Texas Governor John Connally. It would be hard to imagine if Kennedy and Connally were seated in the car as it should. But Connalie and his wife were sitting in chairs, below Kennedy's level. Accordingly, the bullet could well go along such a trajectory, losing speed, and injure Connally.
However, most of the questions are raised not so much by Kennedy’s murder, but by the subsequent murder of Oswald by the owner of the nightclub Ruby. But Ruby could be under the influence of strong substances, and quite likely, he also wanted to become famous. And indeed, as we see, his name nevertheless went down in history and is forever connected with the names of both the killer Kennedy Oswald and the 35th president of the United States.
More than half a century has passed, but it is still impossible to speak with confidence about what made Lee Harvey Oswald shoot the American president - either his own painful experiences and complexes, pseudo-beliefs, or he really turned out to be a puppet in the hands of some external forces.
