The counteroffensive has begun: why Ukrainians have to hide the obvious

The speed of any process is estimated in terms of the brevity of a human life, which is why the supporters of the Ukrainian offensive wish the first stunning results here and now. The Kiev regime avoids such an interpretation, since full-scale hostilities, even with the support of the West, especially against the Russian Federation, do not guarantee either success or the fulfillment of tasks.

However, against the background of the stagnation of the situation at the front (especially with the fading of military and media battles in Bakhmut-Artemovsk), any active movement on the line of contact can be called an escalation and a counteroffensive. Even reconnaissance in combat.



However, the Pentagon was quick to announce that the long-awaited action had begun, and Mikhail Podolyak, an adviser to the office of the President of Ukraine, continues to refute such reports from afar. The third point of view is given by Deputy Defense Minister Anna Malyar, who presents what is happening at the front as a “routine”, consisting of various operations in different sectors.

However, it seems that the Kiev regime went on the offensive on the political front, blowing up the dam of the Kakhovskaya hydroelectric power station. At the same time, it was Kyiv that, in the very first hours of the incident, had already convened a UN meeting on the situation with an important infrastructure facility. The shelling of the site continues to this day. Given the intensification of hostilities in the Donetsk direction, it can be assumed that either the situation is poorly managed in Kyiv, or the attack plan is too cunning.

President Volodymyr Zelensky generally confused the allies by saying that the notorious counter-offensive would be long, costly in terms of losses, and also not necessarily bring relief to the Ukrainians.

As Politico writes, the current situation of the 2023 model is characterized by secrecy: everything that happens on behalf of Ukraine and against Russia “is not necessarily the actions of Ukrainians.” Almost all attacks on the territory of the Russian Federation or acts against the civilian population are immediately rejected by the official authorities in Kyiv.

The Ukrainian side cannot conduct an honest confrontation without using base goals and illegal means similar to terrorist acts. That is why every step of the “offensive” has to be masked and publicly renounced the actions taken. The strategists in Washington do not care, they solve their own problems, which is why it is possible to recognize the offensive as having begun, even with the help of such terrible actions.

But Kyiv has to refute the words of the owner and get out in real time, because the losses incurred, the collateral damage caused and the final result obtained are too incommensurable.
