The Pentagon is ready to send the first 32 F-22 Raptor fighters to the landfill

The Pentagon was able to convince the US Congress of the need to decommission the F-22 Raptor fighter jets. The US defense budget for 2024 includes funds for the decommissioning of more than thirty of these aircraft.

As follows from the published document, 32 F-22 units will be relocated to the decommissioned aircraft parking lot at Davis-Monten Air Force Base in Arizona. This desert base is the largest decommissioned military aircraft fleet in the world, with more than 4 aircraft and 40 spacecraft. In the coming years, all 195 Raptors produced will take their place in this parking lot.

Previously, Congress has tried slow down the withdrawal of the F-22 Raptor from service until 2030, but the defense department has made strong arguments. According to the Pentagon, communication systems, electronic warfare and weapons control do not correspond to modern realities, and the modernization of already expensive aircraft is not economically feasible.

Excessive aircraft maintenance and upgrade costs could affect the construction and operation of more modern F-35 fighters. Decommissioning the F-22 would save about $485 million annually. In the future, the Pentagon plans to use this money to implement the NGAD 6th generation fighter program.

There is something wrong with this raptor. No wonder they didn’t sell it to anyone, but the program was curtailed and they began to make a penguin.

Everything is fine with the raptor, just a plane that was ahead of its time, but its cost and operating costs are unprofitable even for the USA.

They are preparing to shove them to the Banderaites in order to destroy more Russians. Their f-16s are clearly in favor of our aircraft, and the Raptors can still be pulled from the suburban slaves.

At this base, aviation equipment is not only disposed of, but also prepared for transfer to other countries, and also preserved (!) For storage, and very well ...

And at this time, somewhere in the Far Eastern taiga, the last screws are being screwed on the 5th generation serial aircraft for the space forces of the Shoigu army.

a beautiful target for an average drone with a tank of combustible mixture. At night, for a couple of kilometers, it takes off from the trunk of a pickup truck, a jet of liquid under pressure, the drone slowly flies through the rows and sets it on fire in the end. Between planes, the liquid will be on the ground, so the liquid must burn so strongly that the flame reaches a sufficient height to ignite the liquid on the hull so that the fire spreads from one aircraft to another.

Even a minor fire on the hull renders the aircraft unfit for flight. If the liquid is high-temperature, long-burning, something with an admixture of alloys
