The company believes that such a measure supposedly accelerates the process of boarding passengers by about 30%, because this is important, first of all, for the airline itself. It should be noted that biometrics is a trend of recent years in Russia. Remote biometric identification was launched even in a number of Russian banks. By the end of 2018, biometrics should already work in 4 thousand offices, and by the end of 2019, the system will be deployed throughout the country. By 2021, it will even become possible to provide government services on the basis of banks, and not just carry out credit and financial operations.
And the facial recognition program created by Sberbank and VisionLabs was even tested in the Moscow metro. At the same time, the Ministry of Construction has already begun to develop the standard of a “smart city”, so they want to raise the level of comfort in settlements. For this, they are even going to attract the Chinese company Huawei and the domestic Rostelecom. Yes, and about replacement ordinary electronic passports, no need to forget.
