SpaceX announces intentional destruction of Starship rocket

Elon Musk's SpaceX has reported that the Starship rocket was deliberately destroyed due to engine problems and began to lose altitude. The launch took place on April 20 from the Boca Chica site in Texas.

After launch, the heavy-duty rocket began to rotate and collapsed. The company decided to conduct a "quick unscheduled dismantling" of the apparatus. The rocket sank in the Gulf of Mexico, its flying fragments after the explosion could be seen everywhere. Created to conquer deep space, the ship collapsed before the separation of the rocket stage at an altitude of about 38 kilometers.

The ship failed several engines, there was a loss of altitude and it began to rotate. The command was given to complete the flight to both the ship and the booster

SpaceX said in a statement.

During the tests, it was found that 3 Raptor engines did not work at the start of the first stage-accelerator, while climbing their number increased to six.

The Starship, according to Musk's idea, should be the largest and most powerful of all man-made devices. It is on it that expeditions to the Moon and Mars will be sent.

To this day, seven Starship tests have ended in the destruction of the rocket. After a failed launch, SpaceX shares lost more than 8% in price. Despite the setback, company founder Elon Musk called the launch an amazing experience.

No, there were 4 or 5 test launches. All ended just like SpaceX. And only after that a brilliant decision was made: immediately with people and immediately to the moon.
