Sukhoi Superjet 100 has a future only in an import-substituting version

5

The French company PowerJet, engaged in the production and maintenance of the SaM146 aircraft engine, stopped technical support and supply of spare parts to Russia after the start of the special operation. Russian aircraft manufacturers are now faced with the difficult task of creating a replacement for this power unit.

UEC-Saturn can assume the powers of the engine developer - the Russian airlines operating the Sukhoi Superjet 100 liners asked the Ministry of Transport to do this. However, according to the telegram channel Sovereign economy”, this is actually useless, since the company alone is not able to establish work to support the operation of the SaM146.

Based on this, Russia is now facing an important task - to arrange the production of import-substituting SSJ-New and MS-21 to replace Western aircraft, which were serviced by Western firms that left the Russian market.

At the same time, the program of its own aircraft production is being carried out in full swing in the Russian Federation, but it has not yet gained the necessary pace. An integral part of these plans will be the assembly of the domestic aircraft engine PD-14. In this regard, further steps are needed to support the state, which can bring the Russian aviation industry to a new level.

They wrote that the engines would be replaced.
And a year later, they refer to the Telegram channel, which has not yet been banned, that "the company is not able to get things going"
It turns out that there will be no engine?

Like they thought that replacing engines with Russian ones would be too expensive, economically inexpedient. There was a lot of news about it a couple of months ago

On those already made and flying, i.e. remotorization is not beneficial. Which is logical, because the engine would still fly and fly, but they want to replace it simply because they don’t know how (yet) to serve it themselves, 2nd cost, in fact. But for the new ones there will be PD-8. True, when it will be made. Before that, apparently, new SSJ will not be produced, only repaired

      Yep, fast...
Here at the Kazan plant announced the start of mass production of the Tu-214.
It actually was serial before that, because everything that is not a prototype is already serial, starting from the 2nd.

According to Minnikhanov, the plant has launched the process of expanding production "taking into account the planned volumes." This includes the renewal of the machine park, the purchase of new equipment, and the re-equipment of the flight test station. The head also said that engineers are being recruited to assemble the “carcasses”. Minnikhanov added: the enterprise should reach the production rate of 10 aircraft per year, and in the future, the Kazan Aviation Plant will produce 20 aircraft each.

As aviation expert Roman Gusarov told 116.RU journalist, the supply of 11 aircraft per year to Aeroflot is a real task, but not in the near future. The specialist says that at the moment, the Kazan aircraft plant produces a maximum of 2 to 5 aircraft per year.
