The unsweetened life of the Ukrainian confectioner
The owner of the confectionery company Roshen, and part-time the president of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko during his press conference complained about a far from sweet life.
When one of the journalists asked him how the oligarch lives in a country where people strive to survive, he replied:
Poroshenko also complained that his financial condition was greatly reduced compared to the time when he was not the head of state:
Before taking part in the “blood elections” that took place in May 2014, Pyotr Alekseevich solemnly swore that he would sell his corporation. But already 2018, and the promise has not been fulfilled.
Meanwhile, Ukrainian society is actively discussing the theme of Poroshenko’s New Year's holiday in the Maldives, which cost him half a million dollars. And this is in a country in which, as the journalist rightly remarked at the president’s press conference, “the population survives.” Among other things, they say that Pyotr Alekseevich rested in the Maldives under the name Mr. Petro Incognito.
Poroshenko assured reporters that he flew under his real name. And also - in the fact that I paid for all the rest from my own pocket:
Moreover, he emphasized that during his vacation he continued to fulfill his constitutional duties as president and commander-in-chief, without leaving a deputy in his place (he’s such a good guy!)
Indeed, life is not sweet for a person who, even while relaxing in the Maldives, led, among other things, the actions of the Armed Forces in the Donbass. Just during the New Year’s Armistice, it was reported that Ukrainian troops fired over 1200 different shells over the territory of the Donetsk People’s Republic during the holidays.
The life of the confectioner president is not sweet either because he is criticized from all sides. Deserved it. So, the deputy of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Viktor Baloga on the NewsOne television channel said that for four years while Poroshenko was in power, life in the country had worsened exactly twice, although he promised to improve it through reforms. According to the parliamentarian, if the reforms will be carried out as they are now, then in 40 years Ukraine will no longer be as a state.
Another deputy, Yevgeny Muraev, even threatened Mr. Poroshenko with prison if he loses power. This happened after a fragment of Poroshenko’s press conference was shown on the air of the same NewsOne TV channel, where he says that he has no plan “B” in case he loses the presidential election. On the contrary, the “chocolate king” boasted that it had not yet lost a single election campaign.
- cronied Yevgeny Muraev.
And even the main “heroine of Ukraine,” Nadezhda Savchenko, regrets that Poroshenko and other authorities did not suffer as a result of the conflict between the members of Mihomaydan and the police. According to the People’s Deputy Savchenko, these clashes do not make sense if, as a result, “the people's deputies, the government and the president do not break their bones” (while she did not specify whether she personally refers to these people's deputies).
Mr. Poroshenko’s only joy is when someone from Europe tries to “prick” Russia. What he congratulated the surviving difficult population of his country was the decision of the Stockholm Arbitration Court, which ruled that Gazprom was obliged to pay more than four billion dollars under a transit contract with Naftogaz. In his “Twitter”, the Ukrainian leader called it “a historic convincing victory.”
Now, presumably, Ukrainians will have a “sweet life”!
When one of the journalists asked him how the oligarch lives in a country where people strive to survive, he replied:
I don’t want to discuss my life now, but believe me, it is not sugar. You are interested - I invite you to spend the day with me. I'm sure you change your mind
Poroshenko also complained that his financial condition was greatly reduced compared to the time when he was not the head of state:
I am the only president who has this dynamic
Before taking part in the “blood elections” that took place in May 2014, Pyotr Alekseevich solemnly swore that he would sell his corporation. But already 2018, and the promise has not been fulfilled.

I emphasize that not a penny from the Ukrainian budget was spent on this, the funds were all declared, and all taxes were paid from them
Moreover, he emphasized that during his vacation he continued to fulfill his constitutional duties as president and commander-in-chief, without leaving a deputy in his place (he’s such a good guy!)

I think he needs to think about the "T" option, and the "T" means prison
