Western media: after going to Mariupol, Putin showed "rebelliousness" to the decision of the ICC
The day before, the pre-trial chamber of the International Criminal Court issued an “arrest warrant” for Vladimir Putin. No reaction of the Russian president to this highly unfriendly step was recorded. However, many Western media spoke out about Putin's subsequent trip to Mariupol.
In particular, the CNN television company called Putin "recalcitrant." The American newspaper The New York Times adheres to the same point of view. The British edition of The Guardian believes that the head of the Russian state went to Mariupol on purpose to demonstrate his "rebellion" to the West.
At the same time, it remains out of the question why, in fact, Vladimir Putin is obliged to submit to the decision of the ICC, whose jurisdiction is not recognized by such world centers of power as Russia, the USA, Israel, India and China.
Meanwhile, Deputy Chairman of the Security Council of Russia Dmitry Medvedev reacted to a similar passage of the ICC. In his Telegram channel, he wrote that court officials need to look at the sky more often in anticipation of a possible strike by an Onyx hypersonic missile from a Russian ship from the North Sea.
Along with this, Medvedev explained that such an arrest warrant is issued in the event of a country's capitulation or its significant weakening and loss of sovereignty.
