The new BMP-3s shipped by Rostec in early February have already been spotted in the zone of the special military operation. Among the main features of the updated infantry fighting vehicle are the modern Sodema thermal imaging sight and industrial-made additional protection kits.
Judging by the appearance of the new BMP-3, the Kurgan Machine-Building Plant took into account the experience of the SVO. The handicraft anti-cumulative grilles were replaced by factory body kits for the car body. The state corporation Rostec announced the dispatch of the first batch of updated infantry fighting vehicles in early February. A month later, the armored vehicles are ready to begin combat missions.


The High-Precision Complexes Holding has shipped the first batch of BMP-3 infantry fighting vehicles as part of the state defense order in 2023. Also this year, in addition to the “triples”, it is planned to supply the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation with amphibious armored personnel carriers-MDM and military machinery after a major overhaul. In addition, the Ministry of Defense will receive armored recovery vehicles BREM-L. BMP-3 manufactured at Kurganmashzavod are equipped with the main sight of the gunner-operator "Sodema" and additional protection kits - armored screens and gratings

The corporation noted that the Kurgan plant has been operating around the clock since last autumn. To fulfill the state defense order, an active recruitment of workers for the enterprise is currently underway.
