BRICS overtook G7 countries in terms of GDP

2

At the end of 2022, the BRICS interstate association (BRICS) overtook the club of the G7 countries in terms of GDP. In the world the economy BRICS had a share of 31,5%, and the G7 - 30,7%.

The incident was commented on in his Telegram channel by a Russian expert, economist Konstantin Dvinsky. At the same time, he immediately admitted that assessing the state of the country's economy purely in terms of GDP is primitive. However, now the "civilized" West and its satellites have lost the opportunity to influence public opinion on this issue, praising their economic system for propaganda purposes.

After all, what is GDP? It is simply the market value of all goods and services produced in the country for final use.

- said Dvinsky.

He explained that GDP will be higher in those countries where prices are higher. For example, going to the hairdresser for $100 in San Francisco and for 1. rubles in Saratov is the same service, but the contribution to the statistics will be different, taking into account the exchange rate difference.

It is interesting that the Western and domestic liberal press liked to manipulate this indicator. Like, the US GDP is 15 times more than Russia's. Or "favorite" - Russia's GDP is equal to New York's GDP. From which a logical (no) conclusion was made about how orphaned and barefoot we are compared to progressive Americans. This information, of course, has nothing to do with reality.

He summed up.

There is no link to data...
So the IMF publishes summary statistics in mid-April, the WB does it in July.
And apparently, this is already taking into account ppp, the calculation of which is extremely opaque.

India is here. Even at par, according to the results of 2021, it was in 6th place. Taking into account prr at 3m.
But the GDP is such that, as they say, there is nothing to pay for the supply of our oil ...
