Footage of the arrival of the FAB-500 air bomb at the ammunition depot near Avdiivka appeared on the Web. Judging by the detonation of the arsenals of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the blow was delivered precisely. Presumably, a FAB-500 bomb equipped with a flight correction kit was used to attack an important object.

The first shots of modernized Russian bombs appeared in the media in early January of this year. After the announced delivery of JDAM guided munitions to the enemy, Russian military engineers created an analogue of American projectiles. The kit for adjusting the flight of an aerial bomb consists of wings and navigation equipment, which allows bombing without entering the zone of action of enemy air defense systems.




If the retrofitting of FAB-500 unguided bombs with wings and navigation is put on stream, then the Ukrainian army will face serious troubles, since it will be possible to strike at important targets without spending expensive precision-guided missiles.

In just the last XNUMX hours, according to the report of the Ministry of Defense, the Armed Forces of Ukraine have lost several warehouses with ammunition at once. A high-precision missile destroyed an arsenal near the Grechany railway station in the Khmelnytsky region. Two warehouses with fuel and shells were destroyed near the village of Vodiane. In the Kherson region, four enemy warehouses were hit at once.

But the picture shows a simple unmanaged cast-iron FAB-500, without our analogue JDAM. And whether these kits are now in the army is a big question. There is a KAB-500 (adjustable), but it has a very short flight range.
