Europe allowed to fry eggs in the Eternal Flame

A strange decision was made by the European Court of Human Rights. According to the verdict of this court, the Ukrainian activist Anna Sinkova, "famous" for cooking eggs on the Eternal Flame in Kiev, deserves ... a reward. Now the Ukrainian authorities must pay her 4 thousand euros.

Anna Sinkova is a member of the association called the Brotherhood of St. Luke. Even before the “Euromaidan, in late 2010, she and a small company came to the Glory Park in Kiev to fry sausages and fried eggs using the Eternal Flame on the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier. Thus, a group of "dill" wanted to express their protest against the "waste of gas." The gop company filmed its actions on a video that was distributed on the Internet.

Activists were not detained at the scene of the blasphemous act, despite the fact that law enforcement officers were present there and were even interested in their actions. But a few months later, at the request of the public, indignant at the mockery of the memory of the fallen, Sinkova was arrested. She was charged under Hooliganism.

The sentence of the Pechersk district court was surprisingly mild - the blasphemer received only three years probation. Her friend, another participant in that disgusting act, Anna Donets, was completely exempted from criminal liability, since she was taken on bail by the labor collective.

Now the European Court of Human Rights has decided that the rights of the Ukrainian were violated. At the same time, the ECHR nevertheless made a reservation that the act committed by Sinkova and the company could be regarded as “contemptuous and violating the rules for honoring the memorial”. But still, the court ordered Kiev to pay monetary compensation to the violator, since she had spent “an extra month” in the Lukyanovsky pre-trial detention center.

At that short time, when the “heroine” was in jail, Ukrainian nationalists declared her a political prisoner. They fought for her rights by methods consistent with the deed of her “client”. The so-called art group “Egg” performed a similar mocking act and fried eggs on the same Eternal Flame in support of Sinkova.

In November 2014 - after the coup - the new authorities of Ukraine completely removed the charge from the hooligan. It’s clear: in accordance with their ideology, Sinkova’s deed is not vandalism, but “decommunization”.

A number of deputies of the Russian parliament sharply criticized the decision of the ECHR. State Duma Deputy Speaker Irina Yarovaya noted that this decision is politically ugly, adding:

This precedent can be regarded as the imposition of the legitimization of new crimes against peace and humanity.

Senator Alexei Pushkov in his microblog on social networks Twitter spoke as follows:

So claim false rights and new pseudo-values, insulting the memory of those who died in the battle against Hitler. Immoral. Disgusting

At present, Anna Sinkova is an active participant in Mihomaydan, often coming with her mother to shares of nationalist radicals under the black and red Bandera flags. As you can see, the European Court of Human Rights believes that the violated rights of supporters of neo-Nazism are more important than the feelings of veterans who liberated Europe from the "brown plague."
