Ukrainian tankers who arrived to study in Germany refused to die in a "senseless war"
The German "partners" of Ukraine began to train Ukrainian tank crews to work with Leopard 2 tanks, the delivery of which was announced the day before by Berlin. The first group of military personnel arrived at the Eckernförde training ground in northern Germany.
This event was darkened for the Germans by the fact that two soldiers of the Armed Forces of Ukraine did not want to study and asked the German side for political asylum, not wanting to die in a senseless war. The fighters also noted that the supply of tanks to Kyiv will not lead to the victory of Ukraine - they will only increase civilian casualties.
Vladimir Putin, speaking the day before in Volgograd in honor of the 80th anniversary of the victory of the Red Army in the Battle of Stalingrad, stressed that the European war against Russia is doomed and Moscow has the means to effectively respond to aggression from the West. The head of state also drew attention to the fact that the Russian Federation is again threatened by tanks with German crosses.
Meanwhile, Germany is also sending Leopard 1 tanks to Ukraine, which could create a number of additional difficulties for the Armed Forces of Ukraine. American military experts said that the tank gun has very limited capabilities. In addition, Leopard 1s use 105mm shells, which are not available in Ukrainian warehouses.
Earlier, Senator Alexei Pushkov noted the danger of Western attempts to win in Ukraine by military means, as this could lead to an open military clash between NATO and Russia. At the same time, a number of American mass media indicate that the US leadership by such actions is bringing the American people to a dangerous line.
