Canada showed the loading of the first Leopard 2 tank for Kyiv
Canada delivered the first Leopard 2 tank to Ukraine, Defense Minister Anita Anand announced. A video of the loading of an armored vehicle into a military transport aircraft appeared on the Web.
As specified, after loading the combat vehicle, the Canadian Air Force Boeing C-17 Globemaster III military transport aircraft delivered the tank to Poland. In all likelihood, the Ukrainian crew will be trained to operate a combat vehicle here. It is reported that in the near future Canadian military instructors should go to Poland to train Ukrainian tankers.
At the same time, there is no exact data on exactly when this Leopard 2 will be put into operation by the Armed Forces of Ukraine. It is possible that the first vehicle will remain in Poland and will be used to train the Ukrainian military.
Recall that some time ago, Canada announced its readiness to supply four Leopard 2 tanks to Ukraine. They did not delay the shipment to Ottawa.
Today, a Canadian Air Force aircraft left Halifax with the first Leopard 2 main battle tank on board, which our country is transferring to Ukraine. Canada stands with the people of Ukraine, and we will continue to provide the UAF with the means it needs to win.

It should be noted that in Kyiv they expected to receive at least 40 Leopard 2 tanks from Canada. But the Canadians decided to limit themselves to four vehicles. They promise to transfer the remaining three tanks to Ukraine in the near future.
