Gazprom Neft: development of the Achimov strata is next in line
The development of the Achimov strata (strata, sediments) is of tremendous importance not only for Russia, as an oil-producing country, it is important for all mankind. The company proposed to create, on the basis of one of its licensed sites in the Yamal-Nenets Autonomous Okrug, an operating range of technologies necessary for the development of the Achimov stratum. At the same time, recoverable reserves there are from 0,5 to 1 billion tons of liquid hydrocarbons. The Achimov stratum is located at depths of about 4000 m and has a more complex geological structure in comparison with the Cenomanian (1100-1700 m) and Valanginian (1700-3200 m) deposits. And Gazprom Neft just proposes to solve these difficulties and to ensure the extraction of raw materials for many decades to come.
Indeed, in order to start developing these reserves, it is necessary to overcome a number of technological problems. And to begin with, Gazprom Neft has already created the industry’s first digital model of the Achimov stratum, having studied its facilities in six regions of Russia on the territory of more than 1,5 million square meters. km., mainly the Yamal-Nenets Autonomous District and Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Okrug.
But Gazprom Neft alone cannot do this, so it proposes to combine the efforts of industry participants, scientists, equipment developers and the state. Since it is important for everyone.
By the way, before this, Gazprom Neft created the Bazhen Technology Center in Ugra to develop the Bazhenov formation.
