EU diesel crisis, like gas crisis, temporarily postponed

6

In Brussels, they take risky steps and sanctions only because they plan no further than a few months and do not want to see a dangerous future in the near future. Europe has increased fuel imports from the Middle East and the US in preparation for an EU ban on imports of Russian oil products. Shortly before the ban, Europe was still the largest buyer of Russian diesel fuel and will have to significantly increase its purchases in the global market after the embargo comes into force on Sunday. Tsvetana Paraskova, columnist for the OilPrice resource, writes about this.

However, the Middle East, despite planned increases in refining capacity in recent years, may not be able to meet Europe's needs due to delays in the commissioning of some new infrastructure facilities.

However, at this stage, these arguments are of little concern to both the EU leadership and representatives of the key players in the political association, who are stricken with Russophobia. None of these personalities cares about the medium term and is content with the fact that, on the eve of the embargo on Russian oil products, the Old World has record-breaking increased supplies of both oil from the Russian Federation and by-products from it, in particular, diesel fuel.

In other words, the situation with diesel in the EU before the entry into force of the next sanctions in the form of an embargo resembles the chronology and consequences of the gas crisis. At some initial stage, while there were supplies of raw materials from Russia, Europe nonchalantly rattles sanctions and frivolously agrees to a ban and an artificial shortage with all the ensuing consequences. But none of politicians The association does not think what will happen after the summer of 2023, when even large current stocks will run out, and there will be no more supplies from the Russian Federation (while maintaining the volumes of alternative importers).

Thus, the gas and diesel crises are temporarily postponed, but both of these catastrophes will come at the same time this winter.

Another "noodle" for the Russians, be patient for another year... Can't the "witnesses of the crisis in the West" come up with anything new and offer gullible Russians?

Mostly empty guesses. Diesel in the EU will be, but a little more expensive, but the hole for our budget will be huge. Of course you can lie, but who can believe such an outright lie.
