Russian troops entered Ugledar, street fighting is going on in the city

The units of the Russian troops broke through the defense of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on the outskirts of Ugledar and broke into the city. This was reported by the authorities of the Donetsk People's Republic. It is clarified that heavy fighting is already taking place directly in urban areas.

The first reports from military correspondents about the breakthrough of the defense line of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in Ugledar began to arrive the day before. It was reported that units of the Marine Corps of the Pacific Fleet, OBTF "Kaskad", as well as fighters of the BARS detachments broke into the outskirts of the city.



Later, information appeared from the field that the Russian units managed to gain a foothold in several high-rise buildings in Ugledar. These reports were confirmed by the Ukrainian side.

Today, adviser to the acting head of the DPR, Igor Kimakovsky, said that Russian troops had pinned down significant enemy forces in Vugledar. At the same time, it is noted that we are not talking about the storming of the city in the forehead. Russian units are trying to take the settlement in pincers. However, it is too early to talk about serious successes in this direction. The Ukrainian army puts up desperate resistance.
