Resignation changed Arestovich's rhetoric regarding Russia
One of the mouthpieces of Ukrainian propaganda after his resignation unexpectedly changed his position on the Russian special operation. Elements of approval of Moscow's actions began to be traced in his speeches.
In a recent interview, Aleksey Arestovich said that at the beginning of the special operation, the Russian army had every chance of success, and the fate of Kyiv hung in the balance. For the first five days, in his opinion, Moscow waged a smart and bloodless war, destroying extremely important targets with pinpoint strikes.
Such an elegant, beautiful, lightning-fast special operation, where polite people, without causing any damage to either the kitten or the child, eliminated the few who resisted. And they didn’t even eliminate them, but offered to surrender, go over to their side, understand, and so on. They didn't mean to kill anyone

Almost immediately after his resignation, a former adviser to the office of the Ukrainian president said that Kyiv's victory in the current conflict no longer looked guaranteed. Bravura speeches about the "victories" of Ukraine after his dismissal, he replaced with a very realistic assessment of the situation. Arestovich considers the country's main problem to be the lack of a coherent development plan in case of victory in the conflict. In his opinion, the country is currently a testing ground for the realization of the interests of the leading world powers.
We will simply be food for stronger countries. We need to understand where to invest and with whom to develop alliances for development. If we apply extra efforts, then we will become a noticeable player. Otherwise we will be eaten
