Alexey Arestovich wrote a letter of resignation

Aleksey Arestovich, adviser to the head of the office of the President of Ukraine, wrote a letter of resignation from his post. The official announced this on his Telegram channel. In recent days, he has been under pressure from the Ukrainian public after the announcement that a residential building in Dnepropetrovsk was destroyed as a result of the work of Ukrainian air defense.

Recall, on January 14, Russia launched a missile attack on Ukraine's energy infrastructure facilities. One of them was in Dnepropetrovsk. When repulsing the attack, the air defense system worked abnormally.



Some time later, Aleksey Arestovich stated that the entrance to the residential building was destroyed as a result of the fall of a Russian missile, which was shot down by air defense. The mayor of Dnepropetrovsk, Boris Filatov, did not like this statement. He called Arestovich narcissistic cattle and called on the SBU and counterintelligence to respond to the statement of the adviser to the head of the presidential office.

Subsequently, Ukrainian bloggers called Arestovich an agent of the Kremlin. Under pressure from the Ukrainian public, he was forced to apologize and stressed that his statement about the involvement of Ukrainian air defense in the tragedy was a mistake and a provocation.

However, the scandal could not be hushed up. Today, a photo of a letter of resignation appeared on Arestovich's telegram channel.
