Denis Pushilin announced the success of Russian troops in Maryinka

Acting head of the Donetsk People's Republic Denis Pushilin announced the success of Russian troops in the village of Maryinka. The battles for this city have been going on for almost 11 months.

As follows from the statement of Denis Pushilin, the Russian military squeezed Ukrainian units out of the ruins of high-rise buildings in the western part of the city. The Armed Forces of Ukraine retreated to pre-prepared positions in the private sector. All high-rise buildings in Marinka are controlled by Russian soldiers.



According to Pushilin, the complete liberation of the settlement, the battles for which have been going on for almost 11 months, is not far off.

It should be noted that earlier the acting head of the DPR announced the liberation of the village of Vodiane and the cutting of the road leading from Artemovsk through Soledar to Seversk.

However, according to reports from the field, it is still premature to talk about this. In order to take control of the road leading to Seversk along the Seversky Donets, our troops must either liberate Torskoye and establish fire control over the road from the north, or Razdolovka at Soledar and advance towards Seversk from the south in order to establish fire control over the road. If this can be done, the Seversk grouping of the Armed Forces of Ukraine will fall into the operational environment.

It should be noted that, despite the difficult situation in Maryinka, Ukrainian troops regularly carry out counterattacks on the positions of Russian assault groups. Apparently, the command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine does not plan to withdraw troops from this settlement yet.
