Russian military shot down a giant Ukrainian drone near Artemivsk
Servicemen of the Russian army shot down an unusual unmanned aerial vehicle of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the Artemovsk region. It is specified that the gigantic drone was landed with the help of small arms.
On the footage published by the Zvezda TV channel, you can see not only the design of the Ukrainian UAV, but also study its technical characteristics. As noted, the drone has six propellers and can carry four grenades. The ammunition release system is powered by two batteries, and the device itself is powered by gasoline. In addition, the drone has a video camera with a night vision device.
As suggested by the Russian military, the UAV is most likely assembled in a handicraft way from supplied spare parts. One of the shortcomings of the downed model is its noise and the red light bulbs glowing during the flight, which are clearly visible in the dark. It is for this reason that this UAV, as noted, is an easy target for the Russian military.
However, some experts believe that the channel's correspondent made a big mistake by pointing out the shortcomings of the Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicle. Now the APU will have the opportunity to correct them. It would be much smarter, according to commentators, to remain silent about the shortcomings in order to be able to continue to shoot down similar UAV models.
